Charlotte Hornets 2017/2018 Partial Season Ticket Holder Guide

2017/2018 Information about being a partial season ticket holder.

You will be able to select 23 games from the schedule *Opening Night plus any other 22 games*. How many games will you be going to?
The wife and I will be going to around 10 games for sure and possibly a few more.

How much will partial season tickets cost you?

This year I went from a full season ticket holder plan in the premium Section 106, Row R at $4228.11 per seat for 43 home games. $8456.22 for the season.

To  a half season ticket holder plan in a lower area Section 112, Row J at $2371.08 per seat for 23 games. $4742.16 for the season.

A partial plan is a great deal if you're like me and can't go to all the games. The price per game is sold to you at a higher rate than a full season ticket holder but still at a discounted rate.

What are the differences between partial season and full season benefits?
I was told that full season ticket holders get invites to all the events like player meet and greets, season ticket holder get together events, est. Partial season ticket holders do not get the invites. Also full season ticket holders get to enter the arena 1/2 hr early and partial ticket holders do not. As I find out what other differences there are I'll update.

Will you be selling the games you don't go to?
I'll be selling all of the games that I can't go to. I'm hoping to get back enough for selling the games during the season to cut what I've spent in half by the end of the season.

UPDATE
8/17/2017
I just received my Half Season Game Selection Form. All I have to do is select the 23 games I want and submit it back to my account manager.

My wife's job makes it impossible for us to get away to Charlotte during the weekdays so holidays and weekends are our only times we can get to some games. We will be selling the games we can't make it to. I might actually make most of my money back this season because we can't make it to the biggest games of the season and will be selling them.

UPDATE
1/6/2018
I've been to multiple games this season as a partial season ticket holder and so far the perks were 2 complementary game tickets up in the nose bleeds on two separate occasions. One was a pre-season game and the other was around Thanksgiving to a game that didn't sell well. To be honest I really don't see the free tickets as a perk as I could have purchased the seats for under $25 for both games. The things my wife and I miss most about being a full season ticket holders is the early entry, retail and food discounts in the arena and the premium section concessions and bathrooms.  We most miss going into the arena using the season ticket holders entrance a half hour before the public and having the arena basically to ourselves. When a hotdog cost you $7 you want your 10% discount on concessions. We kinda miss the way premium seating give you the Front Court Club were only the ticket holders in three sections can use all the amenities. That means basically no lines or crowding but the price of the seats right next to the best seats way outshines.
Really thinking of going back to full season seats and staying in the areas right next to the best seats.

UPDATE
1/15/2018
This past weekend our account manager Wade hooked us up with tickets to a private suite during the 1/12/2018 Hornets vs Jazz game. This was yet another perk of being part of the Hornets.

I would also like to show a receipt from the snacks we purchased at the game, once again showing how expensive everything is. A hotdog, a souvenir cup large soda,a soft pretzel and a small package of M&Ms cost $24.75.

UPDATE

2 Key announcements for the upcoming season will be.
    • Two-Year Price Guarantee: Hornets season membership pricing is guaranteed to remain flat for both the 2018-19 and the 2019-20 NBA seasons. This offer expires on Feb. 16.

       • NBA All-Star Game Lottery: You will be entered into a lottery to purchase tickets to the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte. This game is one of the most anticipated and biggest events to ever come to Charlotte and will have extremely limited ticket availability.

We are renewing our season seats

In the upcoming 2018/2019 season I will pay $7446.62 at $654.41 a month. I made back $3223.84 from the 2017/2018 half season so this upcoming FULL season will really cost me $4222.78. In the upcoming season after I sell the nights I don't go I might make a profit and put a serious dent in the 2019/2020 seasons cost.

This is a work in progress I'll be adding more info soon

Here’s my background concerning being an NBA fan

I’m the type of guy that likes to know everything about what I'm spending my money on. Sadly there is not much info that a person like me can find online about the Hornets. I’m going to give a good account of my time as a Charlotte Hornets Season Ticket Holder. Here’s my background concerning being an NBA fan I grew up about an hour away from Cleveland Ohio and believe it or not, I never went to a Cavaliers game during my teen years. As a teen I was watching all of the new age greats like Jordan, Barkley, Robinson, Ewing, and so on. Back in the early 90’s everyone around my way loved the Hornets and if you didn’t love the Hornets at least you loved their colors and gear. Charlotte Hornets gear was cool even up in Ohio.  So yes I was a Hornets fan back in the day and yes it does make me feel damn good to be a season ticket holder now. I graduated high school back in 1995 and didn’t really watch or follow The NBA until the end of the 2009/2010 NBA season. After watching LeBr
